About Us

Our Program

Peace River Child Care Association is a non-profit organization that provides care from 12 months of age up to 9 years old. We also provide an out of school program for children aged 5-9 years old to help parents with before and after school care. We currently can hold 126 children for full capacity.

The educators set up responsive learning environments encouraging children to participate, while also allowing their curiosity and discovery skills to develop. A schedule is posted for parents to see all the various activities the children take part in throughout the day. Educators are committed to giving the children and family a happy, supportive, and nurturing environment. All parents with children in the Centre are encouraged to be involved. The easiest way is to stay caught up is with Procare.

We have a gymnasium that offers our children a place to exert their energy. Outdoors offers age-specific areas, each with play toys and equipment.

PRCCA has been in business for 45 years and we adhere to all licensing government standards.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is that children are unique individuals who deserve a warm, secure environment that promotes a sense of wonder and discovery in learning. We encourage children to develop socially, physically, intellectually, creatively and emotionally as they grow. We value an environment that respects the distinctive qualities of others and individual aspect of themselves. We partner with parents and the community to enhance the child's growth and development.

Our Mission

Peace River Child Care Association provides a planned play program in a warm, accepting, safe environment. We have age appropriate activities that stimulate physical, social, emotional, intellectual and creative growth. This builds confidence for future life experiences for all children.
